Standard Life customers to net €3,000 each

UP TO 100,000 Irish members of the Standard Life assurance company will receive bonuses of up to €3,000 each when the company floats on the stock exchange.

Standard Life said yesterday a flotation was the "best option" for its members and is likely to happen sometime in 2006 if the members approve of the plan.

The windfall could be as high as €3,000 each, which would mean a €300 million boost for the economy.
