IL&P names fund management boss

IRISH Life & Permanent, Ireland’s largest life insurer and mortgage lender, has named Gerry Keenan to head its fund management unit, which oversees more than €20 billion.

Mr Keenan, currently director of investment development at the asset management business, replaces Kevin Murphy, 53, who is moving to lead the company’s retail life business.

Irish Life Investment Managers, the second- biggest Irish fund manager, boosted fund inflows by 23% last year as better-than-average investment performance attracted clients.
