DCC to spend €8m on Belgian deal

SALES, marketing and distribution specialist DCC is to splash out nearly €8 million on an IT distribution business in Belgium.

The Jim Flavin-headed company will hand over €5.7m up-front for AB Computing, which sells Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Macromedia products, and inject a further €2m in working capital into the business.

AB employs 31 staff and generated sales worth €27m last year. DCC will merge it with Distrilogie, its existing continental distribution business.
