IBF lauds remarks on new standards

The Irish Bankers Federation (IBF) has welcomed comments by the Minister of State for Trade and Commerce, Michael Ahern, about proposed new accounting standards.

The IBF said it was “firmly opposed” to plans to allow European businesses opt out of requirements, which it said would set a dangerous precedent.
