Broker services boost LSE profits

London Stock Exchange Plc’s fiscal second-half profit rose 48%, buoyed by sales at its broker services unit. Europe’s third-largest exchange by market value will pay a special 55 pence-a-share dividend.

Broker services boost LSE profits

Net income advanced to £30.1 million in the six months to March 31 from £20.4m in the year-earlier period.

LSE’s regular full-year dividend will be 4.8 pence a share.
