Minmet starts mining in Sweden

Irish mining and exploration company Minmet has started full in-pit mining at its Bjorkdal gold mine in northern Sweden.

Minmet chief executive Michael Nolan said: “Following extensive mine development and scheduling work to establish how to optimise the mine production and maximise its value, we are now commencing full in-pit production.”
