Airtricity signs deal with Spanish firm

Wind energy company Airtricity has signed an agreement with EHN, a Spanish company which is the fourth-largest wind energy group in the world.

Under the terms of the agreement EHN has acquired a 50% interest in the development company responsible for phases 1 and 2 of the offshore wind park on the Arklow Bank.

The agreement also gives Airtricity the option to acquire an equivalent interest in EHN's planned offshore project in southern Spain.
