BRINDLEY advertising, one of the oldest and biggest agencies the state, saw its turnover fall by 23% in 2003 because of a cutback in Government spending in recruitment ads.

The agency, which is the largest booker of Government and public sector ads, said turnover had fallen to €13.2 million.

Pre-tax profits also fell in 2003, down to €2.06 million from €3.21m in 2002.
