Whitbread to invest €45m

BRITISH leisure group Whitbread is to invest nearly €45m in a network of up to 20 pubs, restaurants and hotels in the North, a move that will generate around 500 jobs.

The group’s plans include a 150-room hotel in Belfast, a 49-room Premier Lodge inn in Carrickfergus, and a number of Brewers Fayre restaurants.
