Phorest purchases Wondertxt outfit

SMS application developer Phorest has acquired Irish mobile phone software company Wondertxt for an undisclosed amount.

Wondertxt runs the BusTxt SMS service for Dublin Bus - one of Ireland’s most popular text alert services.

Wondertxt chief executive Garrett Ahern will join Phorest as chief technology officer as part of the deal.

Phorest was formed by two Trinity graduates in 2001 and has over 200 clients including Stein Travel, Trinity College and Boyle Sports.
