Waterford group take IPv6 mantle

THE Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey, has announced that a consortium lead by Waterford Institute of Technology have been designated as the National Centre for IPv6 in Ireland.

IPv6 is the short for Internet Protocol version 6 and is a new protocol that will drive the future applications of the next generation of the internet.
