Engineers, security and fire service workers will walk out on nine separate days, including Christmas Eve, St Stephen’s Day and New Year’s Eve.

Amicus, which represents around 200 employees, warned that the strikes will close the airport, although this has been denied by management.

The union is seeking the reinstatement of two security workers who were dismissed for allegedly being absent without permission and for falsifying records.
