H&M’s first Irish store

INTERNATIONAL clothing giant Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) will open the first of its Irish stores in Dublin’s Dundrum early next year.

The Stockholm-based company, which operates stores in 19 countries and employs over 40,000 people, yesterday said it had signed contracts for a 1,700 square metre store in the new Dundrum Shopping Centre, which is scheduled to open in March.

A company spokesperson said it planned to open further stores in Ireland but declined to comment on the number involved.
