Technology company Vallent creates 20 research and development jobs
Vallent Technologies, which employs more than 130 people in Ireland, provides service assurance solutions for the communications industry.
The company said it created the extra jobs in response to its continued success in this industry.
Chief technology officer Kieran Moynihan said: “With our telecommunication service provider, customers worldwide are experiencing tremendous challenges as they evolve to next generation networks delivering complex multimedia services.
“Vallent is leveraging its deep network management competency to provide industry-leading solutions to manage convergent networks.”
He added that the increase in business opportunities requires Vallent to expand their team.
“Vallent’s R&D facilities were specifically set up in Ireland to leverage the extensive pool of world-class technical expertise that is available here and we are keen to take advantage of this as we continue to meet our growing customer needs.”
Enterprise, Trade and Employment Minister Micheál Martin said:

Vallent merged with WatchMark-Comnitel two years ago and then with Metrica Software Systems UK in November 2004.
Vallent’s service assurance solutions are deployed in over 300 operators worldwide and the company operates globally.
It has operated here since 1999.
