Accounting firm scores a first

BDO Simpson Xavier has become the first Irish accounting firm to qualify for registration with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).

Registration with PCAOB is a prerequisite for any firm looking to become auditors to American listed companies. If accounting firms do not register with PCAOB by July 19 they will not be allowed to provide audit services to US listed firms or their subsidiaries in Ireland.
