New website to compare charges

THE Commission for Communications Regulation yesterday launched a new website which will allow consumers to compare mobile phone charges from all operators in Ireland.

Even though tariff information from operators is available, ComReg says that many consumers seeking a suitable mobile phone package can find it difficult to compare and rank the range of packages available.

The info is available on www.callcosts.ie and works by asking consumers a questions regarding their usage of mobile services, such as the number of minutes, texts and picture messages used every month.
