Printing group’s sales down 11%

OAKHILL'S sales in the first five months of the year have slipped 11% on the same period last year, the printing group said yesterday.

Chairman Dan O’Donoghue told shareholders at the company’s AGM that operating profits were less than half the previous year’s levels at €310,000.

“The group has responded to the trading challenges with a programme of market and productivity initiatives allied to a strong capital investment programme,” said Mr O’Donoghue.

“While the short-term outlook remains weak these programs will greatly strengthen the ability of the group to counter the negative trading trends.”
