Tropical Storm Beryl ‘to become major hurricane’ as it approaches Caribbean

Tropical Storm Beryl is heading towards the south-east Caribbean as forecasters warned it is expected to strengthen into a dangerous major hurricane before reaching Barbados on Sunday.

A major hurricane is considered a Category 3 or higher, with winds of at least 111mph.
