Chile volcano sends vast clouds of ash skywards

Twin blasts from the Calbuco volcano in southern Chile have sent vast clouds of ash into the sky.

The eruption coveed a small town with thick soot and raising fears that the dust could contaminate water, cause respiratory illnesses and ground more flights.
