Fourteen die in China mosque stampede
Fourteen people have died after a stampede at a mosque in northern China.
The incident happened at the mosque in Guyuan, a city in the Ningxia region, the Xinhua News Agency said, while people were handing out traditional cakes during an event to commemorate a religious figure.
Another 10 people were taken to hospital, four of them in a critical condition.
Ningxia is the home of China’s Muslim Hui ethnic minority.
