Dossing ruled out for this pupil

A Chinese school only has one teacher and one pupil.

The education facility – which is based in the village of Nanou in China's Fujian Province - reopened last year to let seven-year-old Zhang Siqi attend because she requires family care due to being born with a missing spinal disc, and the school is ideal as it is near to her home.

Despite only having one teacher, Zhang Wanjia, the school still holds a national flag-raising day once a week, where Siqi sings the national anthem, and Zhang follows the national curriculum.

But fortunately Siqi will not be alone for too long as the school is set to have four new pupils.
