One dead, eight hurt in Pakistan blast

At least one civilian has been killed and eight others injured by a roadside bomb targeting a security convoy in south-western Pakistan, police said today.

Senior police officer Abdul Majid Bhatti said no soldiers were hurt in the attack on the outskirts of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province.
