Cops called to quieten cab office controller parrot
A parrot has been annoying neighbours by screeching out taxi bookings.
Pepe, a yellow-headed Amazon, shouts out random bookings, such as "car one" and "taxi for Lidl", which he picked up from his former home in a cab office – and despite complaints from homeowners, owner John McAlinden finds it "hilarious".
He told the Scottish Sun: "It’s like living in a cab office. It’s hilarious. He also uses industrial language, which is a bit near the knuckle.
"Hopefully he’s learned his lesson and will settle down a bit. I think he may have become stressed by his move but I’m now giving him some drops to try to calm him down."
Police were called following complaints, but a spokesman confirmed John was simply given "advice and no further action was taken".
