Dive-bombing brids force cancellation of postal service

A postal agency in Canada have been forced to suspend their mail deliveries because the postman is being dive-bombed by birds.

Canada Post called a halt to all deliveries for 30 residents in Winnipeg, Manitoba, because of the interference, and as a result locals were forced to go and collect their mail themselves from the organisation's depot.

A notice read: "Due to the ongoing safety concern caused by the aggressive crows attacking your letter carrier, all mail delivery is temporarily suspended until Canada Post and the city of Winnipeg can determine a solution."

Despite the inconvenience, the birds have provided much hilarity in the neighbourhood.

Resident Len Chapko said: "He come so close, he raised the hair on the back of my head. So I looked up and the neighbours are laughing because he came after me."
