Armed officers on patrol after Liverpool double shooting
In the UK, armed officers will be on patrol in Liverpool tonight after one man was killed and another seriously hurt in a double shooting.
The attack took place in the early hours of this morning.
The police have said that they are frustrated at being met by a wall of silence in their investigations.
Assistant Chief Constable Andy Ward has said that someone must know why the attack happened:
"The dead man is know to us, he has got a significant criminal history", he said
"...We are dealing here with a number of criminal disputes that have taken place quite often around drugs and other issues".
