Francois Hollande has become president of France following a ceremony at the Elysee Palace in central Paris.

Francois Hollande has become president of France following a ceremony at the Elysee Palace in central Paris.

Mr Hollande is the first Socialist leader of France since Francois Mitterrand left office in 1995.
