Swedish inmate demands prison holiday
A prisoner in Sweden has demanded holiday time, despite being behind bars.
Natalia Pshenkina - who was given a life sentence in 2005 - has a job while in jail which she thinks makes her entitled to holiday time for nearly two years of work, national newspaper Aftonbladet reports.
She explained: "I've asked the head of production about which times during the year the prison allows vacation time for inmates. The answer was that prison doesn't have any vacation time at all."
But a prison spokesman confirmed: "[Prisoners] aren't employed by us and therefore, laws about vacation time don't apply."
