Australia to ban Iranian oil imports

Australia is to follow the EU in banning oil imports from Iran.

The move is likely to drive up the cost of crude oil.

Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd said his country would undertake the same parallel action as Europe.

He made the remarks after talks with the British Foreign Minister William Hague.
