Mummified child left sitting in police storage for years
A long-lost mummy has been returned to a US university after sitting in a police property room for years.
The mummified remains of a child were confiscated five years ago when officers received a tip that a woman was attempting to sell the body on eBay.
The remains date from the early 19th century and were part of a collection of Scottish anatomist Allen Burns, which was moved to the US in 1820.
The remains were returned to the University of Maryland.
