UK police forced to abandon case against man afraid to leave his house
An agoraphobic who made so much in benefits that he allegedly ran an illegal loans business has escaped trial because he is scared to leave his house.
Colin Watson (aged 62) of Ripley Court in Middlesbrough, is accused of setting himself up as a money lender using £86,000 (€97,050) paid to him by the British taxpayer over six years.
