Snow causes week-long lock-in
Seven people were trapped in a pub in England for eight days following heavy snow.
Two guests and five workers were stuck at the Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge with snow drifts outside up to 16 feet deep.
The pub - known as Britain's fourth highest drinking establishment - was not reached by snow ploughs because of the depth of the snow, and the owner was unable to get to the building.
Waitress Katie Underwood, emailed from inside the pub noting they were all fine but getting tired.
She said: "The novelty is definitely starting to wear off. Most of the windows are blocked up, but we've got a door at the back to get some air when we need to."
The group is said to be enjoying the bar, which usually caters for 150 people.
