Gay monkeys

Homosexual monkeys have been discovered in a Chinese nature reserve.

Researchers at the Dalongtan Golden Monkey Scientific Research Base in Shennongjia were shocked when their observations of the animals' social behaviours discovered two adult males - Da Yang and Yi Zuo Mao - openly displayed affection for one another and signals traditionally seen in mating simian couples.

Following a few further days studying the golden monkeys, researchers observed several homosexual acts among the creatures, though found it was more prevalent between male animals than the females of the species.
