The Canadian military arrived in eastern Newfoundland to help rebuild two bridges and deliver water if needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Igor.

Brigadier General Tony Stack of the Canadian Forces said that 140 engineers arrived in the province to help reassemble bridges on two peninsulas.
