Opinion poll blow for Schwarzenegger

A new poll said California voters were giving Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger the lowest rating for a sitting governor in more than 50 years.

The Field Poll said just 22% of voters surveyed approved of Mr Schwarzenegger's performance, while 70% disapproved.

The ratings are as low as those for then-Governor Gray Davis shortly before he was recalled from office in 2003.
