The head of a TV station in Georgia has been forced to defend a faked report of a Russian invasion which sparked panic across the country.

The mock report - aimed at raising the security threats Georgia faces - claimed that Russian tanks were closing in on the cpaital Tblisi and that President Saakashvili had been killed.
