Rebels ’threatening Somalia’

Somalia’s new foreign minister said the Islamic rebel group al-Shabab was controlling the fighting in Mogadishu and posed a threat to the entire country.

Mohamed Abullahi Omaar said the group’s ideology did not recognise the values and interests of the Somali people.
