A training aircraft flown by Prince William during an RAF attachment to earn his ’wings’ was not damaged by the royal, the British Ministry of Defence insisted today.

William flew the Tucano propeller-driven plane last year and flicked the wrong switch as the aircraft was being shut down following a sortie, said the MoD.
