Australian teens arrested after high school rampage
Australian police say four teenage boys rampaged through a Sydney high school, smashing part of the canteen and a car with a small axe and a machete before being arrested. No one was injured.
The attack at the Trinity Catholic College in suburban Auburn started around 8am today as students were arriving for classes.
Police said they did not know of a motive for the raid, but that they were looking into reports that the attackers were looking for a girl who was a student at the school.
The Catholic Education Office said the attackers were not believed to be students from the school.
Police Inspector Darren Cloake said three youths were arrested in the school playground with a machete and a tomahawk. Another youth was arrested at about the same time outside the school.
