Playful Berlusconi toasts Bush with broken podium
Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi toasted US President George Bush with pieces of a podium last night during an official dinner at the White House.
In his haste to honour Mr Bush, Mr Berlusconi accidentally bumped the podium from which he was speaking in the crowded dining room. It fell apart, leaving the grinning Italian premier to advance on the US President with just its top and attached microphones.
