US: Doctors separate twin boys joined at the head

Doctors in the US who successfully separated twin boys joined at the head said today that the nine-month-olds were expected to have a “very good chance” of a normal life.

Surgeons at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas performed the four-hour operation on Friday – a first for the hospital.
