Zimbabwe police hold Tsvangirai
Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai was being held by police after being stopped at a roadblock today.
His spokesman said Mr Tsvangirai and a group of about 14 party officials were being detained at a police station in Lupane, north of the second city Bulawayo.
He said Mr Tsvangirai has been campaigning in the area when his convoy was stopped at a roadblock.
No charges have been put to them, he said.
Despite threats to his life, Mr Tsvangirai returned to Zimbabwe 12 days ago to face President Robert Mugabe in a presidential run-off election on June 27.
