Planes clip wings at Washington DC airport
Two United Airlines planes are being inspected today after their wings collided at Dulles International Airport outside Washington DC.
Officials say there were no reports of injuries.
Rob Yingling, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, said a Boeing 737 and a smaller Embraer aircraft were on the taxiway preparing for departure last night when their wings touched.
Emergency crews were checking for damage, but Mr Yingling said it was not clear whether passengers would have to evacuate either plane.
The incident comes a week after a similar incident at Reagan National Airport forced 63 passengers to be evacuated from two US Airways planes.
