Nobel winner fears Obama would be assassinated

Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing thinks Barack Obama would be assassinated if he became US president, the British writer said in a newspaper interview.

Asked whether she supported Hillary Clinton or Mr Obama in the presidential race, Lessing told Stockholm daily Dagens Nyheter “it does not matter,” but suggested the two Democrats should join forces in the election.

“He would probably not last long, a black man in the position as president. They would kill him,” the 88-year-old author of novels 'The Grass Is Singing' and 'The Golden Notebook' said in the interview.

She did not specify who she believed would kill Mr Obama.
