Five dead following Indian mosque explosion

At least five people were killed and several wounded when a bomb exploded at a historic mosque in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, a police official said.

The explosion at Mecca Masjid occurred as people were coming out of Friday prayers, police officer Balwinder Singh said.

He expected the death toll to increase, as some of the wounded were in a serious condition.
