Landslides kill 13 in Indonesia
Landslides triggered by days of heavy rain in eastern Indonesia killed at least 13 people and buried scores more beneath the mud, officials said today, as villagers and emergency crews searched for survivors.
Roads made inaccessible after a three-day deluge were complicating rescue operations, said Frans Lebu Raya, the vice governor of East Nusa Tenggara province, where two landslides happened early today.
