Turkey’s premier today held talks on the security situation in Iraq with a top Iranian official and met with Iran’s president to discuss “the most important issues in the region.”

Turkey’s premier today held talks on the security situation in Iraq with a top Iranian official and met with Iran’s president to discuss “the most important issues in the region.”

“President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the most important issues in the region and Islamic world,” state-TV reported, but did not elaborate.
