Police 'close to breakthrough' in Mumbai bombing case
Indian police are close to cracking a terror strike on Mumbai’s trains that left more than 200 dead in July, a top police officer said today.
PS Pasricha, director-general of police for Maharashtra state of which Mumbai is capital, said investigations were at a crucial stage and an announcement about those responsible for the bombings was likely shortly.
Police have arrested more than 15 men since the July 11 bombings when seven bombs ripped into Mumbai’s rail network killing at least 207 people and injured more than 700 others.
