Israel to end naval blockade of Lebanon 'within hours'

Israel will end its naval blockade of Lebanon within hours, government spokeswoman Miri Eisin said today.

The UN informed the Lebanese government that a joint French, Italian and Greek naval force began patrolling the Lebanese coastline at 12.30pm (10.30am Irish time), a Lebanese government official said.
