Ta Mok, the former military commander of Cambodia’s brutal Khmer Rouge and a chief architect of the regime’s atrocities, died today in a military hospital.

Ta Mok, the former military commander of Cambodia’s brutal Khmer Rouge and a chief architect of the regime’s atrocities, died today in a military hospital.

Known as “The Butcher”, he was believed to be 80 years old.
