A woman has sustained serious injuries following a hit-and-run in Co Tipperary.

The incident happened at around 2am on Saturday on the Fethard road near Killusty, Lisronagh.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was riding an e-bike, which was involved in a collision with a vehicle. She sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them. 

Anyone who was travelling on the Fethard Road between Fethard and Clonmel between 1.45 am and 2.30 am on Saturday May 9 2026 and who may have any information is asked to contact investigating gardaí.

Anyone with camera footage (including mobile phone and dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available.

"Investigations are ongoing," a garda spokesperson said.
